For over 60 years, the Albany Historical Society has cared for some of the region’s most significant historical sites, collections and stories. Our work ensures the past is not only preserved, but brought to life for both locals and visitors to experience and enjoy.

As a member, you actively contribute to the preservation of irreplaceable artefacts, rare documents and treasured landmarks such as the Albany Convict Gaol and Patrick Taylor Cottage—the oldest surviving dwelling in Western Australia.

Membership Period

Memberships are valid for the financial year (1 July to 30 June).
Members who join during the year will receive full benefits through to 30 June.
