Where history, community and nature come together.

Duke Street Park and Arthur Speller Memorial  Gardens is where history and nature come together. Situated next to the historic Patrick Taylor Cottage Museum, Western Australia’s oldest surviving dwelling, the park beautifully reflects Albany’s rich past.

Visitors are often drawn to the vibrant displays of kangaroo paw and other native flora flourishing throughout the gardens.

The park is also home to the Blue Tree Project, providing a contemplative space for quiet reflection. As part of the Albany 2026 Bicentenary, the Pioneer Pathways initiative will also find its place here, connecting visitors with the stories of the Menang people and Albany’s settlers.
