Celebrate 200 years
The Albany Bicentennial Grand Ball is truly a once in a lifetime event, one that will leave a lasting mark on our community and beyond. This extraordinary celebration marks not only the rich history of Albany/Kinjarling but also commemorates 200 years since the official proclamation of the town on 21 January 1827, a momentous day in history when Albany became the first European and Aboriginal settlement in Western Australia.

This remarkable milestone provides us with a unique opportunity to come together and celebrate both the deep cultural heritage of Albany/Kinjarling and the people who have shaped it throughout the centuries. The evening promises to be an unforgettable occasion—an elegant gathering steeped in history and culture.

We invite you to immerse yourself in a night of grandeur, where the refined elegance of the nineteenth century takes center stage. Dress in the finest period attire—whether it be the majestic gowns and formal tailcoats of the era, each guest will have the chance to step back in time and truly embody the spirit of the 1800s.

This will be an event like no other, blending historical significance with a celebration of of two cultures, our community’s resilience, unity and enduring spirit. We look forward to seeing you at this grand occasion, where the past meets the present .
